The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Teresa’s Conference, operates a food bank as part of our mission to reach out to the less fortunate in our parish community. The population served by our food bank is comprised of individuals and families who live within the parish boundaries and who have registered with us. Requirements for registration are MCP numbers for each family member, a verifiable address, and type of assistance presently receiving and/or being requested.
The food bank normally operates from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 and 12:00, unless closed for holidays or storms. Registrants can avail of a hamper once a month. The process for receiving a hamper is as follows:
- 1. Call the pantry food bank line at 579-7201 and leave your name, your phone number, and your request for a hamper.
- 2. The following weekday morning, a volunteer will return your call, discuss any special needs you may have, and give you a time when you can come by and pick up your hamper. Please bring your own bags for the hamper.
- 3. When you arrive at the pantry, ring the doorbell and you will be directed how to pick up your hamper.
- 4. You must abide by all the Covid-19 health regulations and wear a mask at all times while at the pantry.
